The CCEG German Shepherd Dog Boot Camp Class started out of a need to have a more formal approach to training because of the temperament and behaviour issues of some of GSD’s in general classes.
The Boot Camp Class isn’t for all owners (although the dogs seem to enjoy it) and some do give up, over the years however one group of dogs and owners became known as " The Crew", this was due to the hard work and determination of a unique group of handlers with outstanding dogs which at the start all had training or behaviour issues.
The Crew worked to an advanced level in Obedience, Tracking, Scent, Search and close socialisation. Classes at the start were 90 minutes long (with a break in the middle)

“No matter how close we are to another person, few human relationships are as free from strife, disagreement, and frustration as is the relationship you have with a good dog. Few human beings give of themselves to another as a dog gives of itself. I also suspect that we cherish dogs because their unblemished souls make us wish - consciously or unconsciously - that we were as innocent as they are, and make us yearn for a place where innocence is universal and where the meanness, the betrayals, and the cruelties of this world are unknown.”
